Welcome to The Annapolis Fiber Project (TAFP), a collective of fiber artists and enthusiasts who are commintted to their craft.
I knit in public and find I attract a lot interest from children and adults. I often spend time talking to curious onlookers answering questions about my project or the yarn I’m using. Many express a wish to learn to knit and ask if I teach knitting.
There are few opportunities in the Annapolis area to learn to knit . There are fewer opportunities to learn new forms of fiber arts: including crotchet, traditional rug hooking, spinning, weaving, hand-dying, macrame', beading, braiding.
It is with this goal to raise awareness of fiber arts in the Annapolis area, The Annapolis Fiber Project is
seeking artisan instructors to teach in Annapolis, MD to offer classes including: Knitting, Crotchet, Macrame, Beading, Braiding, Quilting, Traditional Rug Hooking, Lace Making, Spinning, Weaving, Embroidery, Needlepoint. Through classes, workshops and exhibitions, The Annapolis Fiber Project can reach a wide range of new fiber artists and hobbyists.
Schedule of classes are in the planning stages now for opportunities to teach in the fall of 09 . If you are interested, please contact Cynthia O’Neill at:

Sincerely,
Cynthia O’Neill
